One of our children was struggling to learn to ride a bike, so out of desperation, we got him this balance bike. Best decision ever! He was riding a regular bike in 2 days after practicing on this one and once he'd learned, we passed it on to a friend's child who also loves it and is making great progress!PROS:- A larger balance bike for older kids instead of the ones intended for toddlers (sometimes older keeps need the help, too)- Forces children to lift their feet off the ground and cruise while trying to balance (their feet may touch the ground enough to push somewhat, but they won't get far and it will be tiring and hard doing it that way)- Doesn't look childish- Easy to assembleCONS:- Limited color choices- Expensive for something not used long, but it was worth it for us to get our child riding (made even more reasonable by letting another child use it afterwards with the intent to keep passing it on)
