I have bought quite a few toys for my cat, and this is the ONLY toy that my cat has actually played with on his own. Battery life is good.I am not one to typically leave reviews ever I don't think I've ever left a good review before......but I felt compelled because the quality of this product is mind-blowing knowing it's made in China or in the far East. I can't help but be amazingly impressed the plastic first off is a very high quality plastic.. feeling much more like a nylon then the actual brittle plastic you can tell the thickness of the plastic is extremely oversized to handle abuse from cats..... the quality of the fish it goes in as well made also,I just hope you velcro closure holds up I know velcro can wear out but I don't know how long it typically takes... but I will say velcro might be a better choice than the typical zipper as a cat might be prone to chew on the zipper which I've had a cat do as to where the velcro is tucked inward and even if it's chewed on is not going to be damaged.... I'm just telling you if you want this sort of toy for your cat you don't have to worry about the quality it's there in spadesOf my 2 cats, only 1 was interested in the fish. I like the smaller size and it seems to function fine but I don't think it's not padded enough. If your cat or dog bites down with much force, they might crack a tooth on the plastic module inside or break it.. Catnip pouch is kinda skimpy too.My cat wouldn't have anything to do with itBoth my 5 year adult cat and 3 month kitten liked picking up and playing with this toy so long as it was sedentary.As soon as I turned it on and it started flopping, they were scared of it. You can't choose which flopping setting to use and the aggressive settings seem more common than the calmer setting. The motor is too loud too.And all the flopping fish toys are too big,not just this brand.It’s not motion activated like you think . My kitten had to attack it for at least 20 seconds before it ever movedThis fish is super cute and I was so happy that my cat loves it...she's super picky and sometimes toys are hit or miss with her. This was a definitive hit!It arrived DOA but luckily it charges quickly. It's pretty well made and even though my cat has back claw kicked it tons of times, it's still holding up nicely and working perfectly. The charge lasts for a while - I have only had to recharge it once in several weeks. It's fun and colorful looking too, and it's a good size for her to really have fun pouncing on.Highly recommend this...would make a great gift too.
